Go-to-market

Launch a New Product in 48 Hours (Without the Agency Wait)

By Paul Fawcett20 April 20264 min

You have a new product or service ready to sell. It's good. You want to get it to market. And someone tells you to wait for a full branding strategy, market research, a photoshoot, and a custom landing page. Six weeks. Maybe eight. That's wrong. You can launch in 48 hours. The market will tell you if it works. If it does, you'll have real customers and real money to invest in getting it right. If it doesn't, you'll find out fast instead of wasting six weeks of runway.

Day 1: Build, Not Design

You don't need a perfect landing page. You need something live that someone can buy from. Write a one-page description of what you're selling. Why they should buy it. What they get. The price. Add one photo or image (use what you have or grab something from Unsplash). Add a button that says "Buy Now" or "Get Started." Post this on your existing site, your email newsletter, or a link you can share. Total time: 2-3 hours. It doesn't need to be beautiful. It needs to be clear and it needs a button to buy.

Day 1: Tell Everyone You Know

Send an email to your existing customer list. Post it on your social media. Call five people you've worked with before. Show it to your friends. Tell them why you built it and ask them to try it. This isn't a big marketing campaign. This is just making it visible to the people who already know you. You're looking for your first 5-10 buyers and their immediate feedback. If no one you know buys it, the market just told you something. If people do buy, you have real people using it and telling you what works and what doesn't.

Day 2: Respond, Track, Adjust

Track how many people visited, how many bought, what they said. If someone asks a question your copy didn't answer, update it. If three people ask the same thing, change your page to answer it upfront. If someone complains about the price, note it. If people ask for a different version or a package deal, listen. By the end of 48 hours you'll have live market feedback that'll cost you nothing. Use it to adjust. Then decide: are we building on this or killing it?

  • Write one paragraph about what you're selling, why someone should buy it, and what they get
  • Find one image or create a simple graphic
  • Post it somewhere with a clear buy button and track the clicks

The only thing you waste in 48 hours is time. You gain real customers, real feedback, and real money if it works. Launch first. Perfect it later. The market is your best agency.
